I reached Takamatsu around noon and
the next ferry to Kobe is at 15:30.

Luckily the long covered shopping arcade near
Takamatsu station keep me occupied for that few hours.

Actually there’s a famous landscape garden,
Ritsurin Koen (栗林公園)
in Takamatsu which is worth a visit but
some how I was not in the mood for any Japanese garden
on that day :o

This is totally random but
after watching the Korean movie, Architecture 101,
I so wanna go back to Jeju island again..
I love the house that was rebuild in the movie!

Have a look at the movie trailer if you’re interested.

Renraku sen sanuki udon restaurant(連絡船うどん)
at Takamatsu station(高松駅)

When I was at JR Takamatsu station (JR 高松駅),
I asked the tourist information center to recommend a cheap udon restaurant where the locals go.
They recommended me a few but Renraku sen Udon (連絡船うどん) was the most
accessible one just beside the station building.

Btw. Kagawa prefecture (香川県) where Takamatsu is located in
is famous for Sanuki Udon (讃岐うどん).
So If you’re in Kagawa prefecture you should really try their Udon.

Hmm…I don’t remember what kind of Udon I ordered but I
remember it was around 500Yen which is cheap for a meal in Japan.
The udon noodles was quite chewy but the taste was just so so.
I have tasted better Sanuki Udon…

You can check out their menu & some customers review over here  >
Btw. The review by Japanese on this place is not that great, 3/5.

Well. If you have limited time & wanna grab some cheap udon,
this place might give you the fix.

Btw. Renraku sen sanuki udon restaurant(連絡船うどん)
is a Tachigui (立ち食い) style restaurant,
where there’s no seat, you have to stand while eating.
