*These photo were taken during summer 2010*

Sheng wu lou (縄武楼) is one of my favorite tulous (Hakka earthen building)
among the Fujian tulou cluster (福建土楼) that I visited during this trip.

The whole architecture were ornate with beautiful wood cravings
but it’s really sad to see most of it in a really bad state now.
No one is living there now except an old couple.

The other Tulous (Hakka earthen buildings) that I visited during this trip
were quite well preserved but not this one.
I wonder why?

It’s such a waste to see such a beautiful architecture
became derelict over time…

Rubbish bin / trash can

These were taken last autumn.
I know it’s a weird title for this post but the 2nd photo reminds me of
some embarrassing moments I had when I was living in Japan.

When I was living in Japan, there were a lot of times when my friends thought
certain English words that I use are weird.
Well…to my Japanese and Korean friends, their English standard is American English.
but I was brought up speaking English with my mom who speaks British English.

I say “rubbish” (British English), not “trash” (American English)

Everytime I get laughed at my English,
I try to explain to them it’s just a difference between British English &
American English but to them American English is the world standard…

Oh well…whatever… :o

These were taken during a 1 day trip on the Hato bus last year.
The tour includes some sightseeing around Kawaguchi Lake,
grapes picking and wine tasting at a vineyard :)

I was shocked when I saw the amount of email I got from
wordpress in my mailbox this morning.
Wordpress informs me when readers make a comment or like my page.

Why so many comments suddenly!?
I went to have a look at my blog stat and what!!!???

What happened!? I never had so many access in a day before :o

It seems that one of my post “park benches” were featured on

I wonder how my page got featured in the freshly pressed page!?

The access is 4000 over now…
