Looking back on 2011

Happy New Year everyone!
I’m so sorry for the long absence…the truth is I have some problem with my notebook ;(
I haven’t been able to use it for more than 3 weeks now…am typing this from my brother’s old desktop..
Anyway, I’m going to do a recap of 2011 just for my own record. Skip it if you’re not interested.
January
Saw the first sunrise of 2011 at the miura beach. Traveled by local train to Yamaguchi & Fukuoka.
CNBLUE ZEPP Fukuoka Concert. Packed up my 8 years Japan life in boxes.
Moved out of my apartment on 31st January.
February
Traveled to a few places in Japan. I call it my sayonara trip :p
I have not post those photos I took during this trip but you can read a summary on
the places I traveled to over here.
March
Ended my sayonara trip at Ise Jingu and took the night bus back to Tokyo from Nagoya.
Managed to catch a glimpse of early sakura. My flight back home was on the 13th of March and
the earthquake happened on 11th, 2 days before my flight.
I was alone, packing my stuff at my friend’s apartment…
it’s the biggest earthquake I’ve experienced.
April
Just relaxing at home. Morning walks. Ate a lot.
May
Went to Penang with my Korean friend who was visiting me in Malaysia.
Registered myself to a few recruitment agencies and got a job through them.
June
Took a short trip to Bangkok before starting work. My2nd time in Bangkok.
I really love Bangkok & Thailand. Hope I’ll have the chance to explore other parts of Thailand next time.

Oh. And one of my post got featured on Freshly pressed.

Started a new job…
August
Occupied by work….practically abandoned my blog.
Went to butterfly park & bird park with friends on one of the weekends.
September
Blog 2 years anniversary. I was so occupied by my job.
I only made 1 post in this month.
October
Organized a print giveaway for my blog’s 2 years anniversary.
To those who have participated. Thank you for showing me your support. ;)
Don’t worry if you haven’t receive anything from me.
My prints are ready to be send out but having a full time job makes it a little bit difficult for me
to go to the post office. I’m so so so sorry for the delay ;(
I promise I’ll send them out once I have time to go to the post office.
Reached 500th post in this month.

Got stucked in the train for 2 hours!? on my birthday. lol
December
Treated myself a trip to Seoul to see my friends & attended CNBLUE concert.
I’m not a k-pop fan but I like CNBLUE. Also went to a 2 days 1 night trip to Melaka on Xmas day.
btw. Melaka is also a registered UNESCO world heritage sites along with Georgetown in Penang.
I have 7 rolls of film from my Korea trip & 4 rolls of film from my Melaka trip to show you guys ;)
I guess that’s all for 2011.

2011 was a year filled with changes for me….
I didn’t blog much in 2011 but in 2012, I wanna blog more. I will try to blog more ;p
Anyway, just wanna say thank you to all of you who are reading this &
I hope everyone have a great year ahead.

This is the platform of Keiyu line (京急線) Shinagawa station （品川駅）.
I left my house at 4:07am, took the 4:19am train at my local station to Shingawa station
to catch this train that departs at 5am to Miura beach （三浦海岸） :0
Love how they decorated the train with New Year graphics :) Isn’t that bunny cute!?
Reached Miura beach station at 6:15am.
Walked to Miura beach which is just around 5 -10 minutes away from the station.
It was really cold and a lot of people were gathering around the bonfire…
My friend and I shared some kara age (唐揚げ・fried chicken) while waiting for the sunrise.
After waiting for some time…the sun finally shows its face :)
I’m not sure what time it happened!? :p
coz’ I was too excited shooting away that I totally forgot to check the time…
Once the sun came out, these guys took off their clothes & throw themselves in the water.
OMG. it must be freezing cold :o

That poor guy in the water got his boxer pants ripped off by this friends..oops..
What a way to start the new year! lol
It was just so beautiful….
Actually it’s my first time seeing the “first sunrise” （初日の出）.
Also my first time seeing sunrise at the beach.
It was really nice.
Oh. btw. To go see the first sunrise of the year is something Japanese do during New Year.
What kind of tradition do you have in your country during New Year !?
Hatsuhinode (初日の出) is the first sunrise of the year. Before sunrise on January 1, people often drive to the coast or climb a mountain so that they can see the first sunrise of the new year.
