Their goguma latte (sweet potato latte) is a must try!
It’s really good!!!! I really mean it!!
It was my first time trying a goguma latte so it left a big impact on me.
I didn’t know it can be so yummy! Lol
I went there 2 days continuously for their goguma latte ;p
Btw. The pretzel snacks came with the drink for free.
I’m not sure for all drinks or just goguma latte though…

Other than Miss Lee Cafe in Insadong.
I guess this is another place CNBLUE or Yongseo fans will wanna visit ;)
I’ve heard about this cafe and I know it’s in Hongdae near FNC academy.
But I didn’t know it was so near to Kimchi Hongdae guest house, the guest house I stayed in.
I meet some Japan BOICE in my guest house and they showed me the place ;)
It was just 5 minutes walk from the guest house we stay in!
Writing this makes me want to have a cup of goguma latte so badly now!!!!

I’m sorry but I couldn’t find the location on google map.
Below is a scan of their shop card with a hand drawn map.
Nearest station is Line 2 Hongik Unversity Station, exit 2.
And here’s a naver map if you read Korean.
The yellow arrow with the word “쟈스” written beside it is the cafe location.
And here’s a blog review on JASS Cafe (Korean).

POLY CAFE and tea, Hongdae, Seoul
Poly Cafe is a very cozy cafe tucked in one of the back lanes in Hongdae.
Their speciality is a pancake called Dutch baby!?
I wonder if it’s originally from Netherlands? Does anyone of you know?
My friend and I ordered Strawberry Dutch baby & Blueberry Dutch baby (9,500won)
Actually I think it’s too pricy for a pancake!?
Coz you can get a normal meal in Korea for 5,000 – 6,000 won.
The pancake doesn’t taste like the typical pancake, it’s soft and dense.
I like it very much but the portion is really too big for me!
Felt so bad that I could’t finish mine.
Some of you might feel it’s weird but I like how the pancake is warm but
the strawberry & blueberry are cold.
I would love to eat this again when I’m in Seoul.
Next time, I’ll just order one and share it with a friend.
or eat this when I’m really hungry so I can finish the whole thing?
Or just treat this as a meal ;p

Korean fish shaped pastry / Bungeoppang / 붕어빵
It was a really cold winter night.
I was walking back to the guest house with my friend when we saw a ajjushi selling this.
We walked passed him but both of us looked at each other at the same time.
There’s only 3-4 Bungeoppang left.
We walked back to him & bought all it’s left so maybe he can go home early!?
It was really very cold. Maybe -8°C !?
I can’t remember how much we paid for it …maybe 1,000Won?
Btw. Bungeoppang (붕어빵) is a Korean pastry similar to Japan’s Taiyaki.
The standard filling is red bean paste but there’s also other filling like custard cream & sweet potato!?
It’s a popular snack during winter. You’ll be able to find street vendors selling it at a lot of places.
Please be careful when you eat, the red bean paste is really hot!
You might get your tounge burned.
Try it out! It’ll definitely warm your hands & stomach during a cold winter day :)
p/s: Again I have to apologize for the lack of updates here.
Actually I’ve been traveling for 1 month & haven’t had time to update.
