3 for 100Yen

I came across this used book store a few weeks ago when Ryoko and I were walking from Kichijoji （吉祥寺）to Nishi Ogikubo station （西荻窪駅）.

Japanese manga (comics)

105 Yen Japanese novels corner.

I bought these 3 used books for just 100 Yen :)

2 Murakami Haruki （村上春木） used books on the left , Kanehara Hitomi （金原ひとみ）Snakes and Earrings （蛇にピアス ・Hebi ni piasu）on the right. This book has won one of the famous literary awards in Japan, 芥川龍之介賞 (Akutagawa Ryunosuke sho) .

Murakami Haruki’s “A Wild Sheep Chase” （羊をめぐる冒険）. The book is quite old :p pages has turned quite brown yah.

The other Murakami Haruki book, 村上朝日堂　はいほー　is a collection of short stories with some cute illustrations here and there :)

These will be my reading materials on train journeys to work. What do you usually do in the train or bus ? Do you people watch? listen to music? play with your i-phone? read? or do nothing?

Cow Books in Nakameguro

A picture of  Cow books swamped by a group of ladies with their DSLR cameras…*funny*

Anyway, Cow Books is a unique bookstore specializing in books from the 1960s to 70s. I don’t know much about books from that period of time…Their website says “We are always purchasing peculiar books…” Omoshiroii! (Interesting)
