Hi,
I came across your blog via Ai’s It will stop raining. I would like to visit you again.
Your photos are all beautiful. Those sights in your photos are very familiar with me, but somehow they look very new even for me. very unique photos!!
hi Naoko, Thank you for dropping by my blog. I bring along my camera with me everyday and take a lot of photos about anything and everything *laugh* また遊びに来てくださいね~
I think I must be the only foreigner left in Japan who can’t stand Tokyo. LOL! I much prefer to read about it than actually to visit the place.
Your blog is lovely, though. :)
Thank you for your comments :) I love those matsuri photos in your blog! Awesome! Tokyo is very happening but not the best place to live yah :o
A fellow gaijin in Tokyo and a friend of mine wrote a story about Design Festa 31 that I would like to post to rvamag.com. Unfortunately his photos are terrible – may I use some of yours for the article? I will link them back to you.
Tony
Hi Tony. Thank you for contacting me on using my photos :) I really appreciate it coz’ a lot of times people just use my photos without my permission. I’m really happy that you like some of my photos. You’re welcome to use my photos as long as you give me credit & link back to me. btw. you have an awesome website there.
Hey there! Thanks for visiting my blog!
We might have bumped into each other actually during the DF event :D
yeah they’re kinda different^^, your photos have this very vintage feeling somehow which I love! Have a great weekend!
Hi Karen. Thank you :) Maybe we’ll bumped into each other on the next Design Festa event :p
Hi! I came across your blog through your post on Qu’il fait bon. Just wanna tell you that I love your photos and your entries are very good for me as I’m doing research on where to go and where to eat when I visit Japan this fall :)
Hi Pat. I’m glad that what I’ve posted here is useful :) Japan is very beautiful in Autumn. do come around November to see the autumn leaves..
Thanks for your kind words about my blog. I really love yours. I am desperately saving to visit Japan and fulfill a lifelong ambition. I like seeing the Japanese and Chinese words at the end of your blog – seeing the similarities in Kanji and Hanzi, but the total differences in pronunciation. If I do visit Japan one day, I may be able to get around ok-ish by reading a few Kanji, but I will be mute…
Hi~ A friend recommend me your blog and it’s awesome, especially your photos! ^^ I’ve been dreaming of traveling to Japan and also Korea.. I envy that you’ve been there. T.T I want to read more of your entries. ^^ But for now,I have to roll off to my bed.
xoxo

Thank you!
Hi there. Thank you for your sweet comment. I’ve send you an email so pls have a look at your mail box :)

I’ll have to agree with other posters that your site is very lovely. I also have a shadow picture of myself but mine was taken from a boardwalk & yours turned out much cooler. :-) I’ll post mine soon anyway.
Also, Norwegian Wood was my favorite book for a very long time so I’m a fan of Murakami Haruki as well.
Can’t wait to see later posts…
Hi there :) Thank you for commenting! My shadow picture was taken during winter at a field. I like how the textures of those dry grass turned out in the picture! I haven’t been reading much recently but my last Murakami Haruki book is “Kafka on the shore”. Quite a good one :)

Please let me know of any other things that you do while in Japan in the future. I have also subscribed to your blog. Hi Bee! So sorry for the late response! I hope you had a great time in Seoul! Actually I was in Korea too in April. btw. I would love to see your blog but it’s privacy protected yah? I couldn’t access it.
Hello! I love your blog and photos and have followed for some time without ever saying hi!
I have always wondered…what do you use to scan your film in? Or do you scan in the prints?
Hi. Nice to meet you ;) Thank you for saying hi! I send it to the photo lab for developing and scanning. They scan it from the film. I wish I have a film scanner so I can scan it myself instead but it’s quite costly…can’t afford to get it now…maybe in future I’ll invest in one.
Hi again! Thanks for your response :-) It’s nice to know that there are labs out there that will scan the film too. Film scanners are so expensive! I’m hoping to use more film in the future. Your site definitely inspires me!
Hi!! I have another question for you…Do you have any tips for bringing film to Japan when flying? I’m worried something will happen and it won’t be any good when I get there >.< Also, when you were in Tokyo were there any places that you bought film or had it developed that you would suggest? Thank you!
Don’t keep your films with your check in luggage. Hand carry them & avoid going through the x-ray machine. Ask the airport officers to manually check them. the x-ray machine might fog any unprocessed film that passes through it. You can read about the effects of x-ray machines on film provided by Kodak below.
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/tib/tib5201.shtml
You can buy films and developed them at Big Camera. They also provide scanning service. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it :-)
Visiting your page again, and I just love the feel of your photos :) I’m actually looking forward to your shots of the SEA countries. What’s your instagram handle if I may ask?
Hi Meds :) my instagram is @mm_k
I saw your post did you know (Janjangmyn) is actually a Chinese dish? I just had a package of it last night….but when i was living in SD i verified this with all the Korean restaurants in town. My mother is Korean and she would prepare it, I always thought it was Korean…anyways loved eating it with (taekwon)
( ) misspells, sorry.

Hi Jeni. I think both China and Korea have jajangmyeon but it’s kinda different. Korean version gravy is thicker. I like both though.
Came across your blog. Fell in love with it :)
Hi Verene :) Nice to meet you and thank you for dropping by my blog. Sorry for the late reply. You have a lovely blog too!

Hi David! I’m so sorry for the late response. Thank you so much for the nomination. I’m really honored.
Hello , I came across your blog while researching materials for my second trip to Tokyo and first to Hokkaido this December . It is a lovely site , very informative. I like to travel on my own as opposed to with travel agencies , especially to place where locals dine and wine. I found the article on Omoide Yokocho especially nice. I am unable to converse in Japanese and have two young teens with me . Do you think I will be able to order food there ? I have an iPad translator though, lol! Would you have any other suggestions to visit in the shinjuku area..thank you for the lovely site. …Nick
Hi Nicholas. I’m so sorry for the late reply. Actually some of the restaurant in Omoide Yokocho have Chinese staff…Do you speak Mandarin? I’m not sure how good can the iPad translator work but if you face any problem just look at what others order and follow them ;p That’s what I usually do if I can’t speak the language. But I must warn you that a lot of the restaurants in Omoide Yokocho doesn’t have proper menu with price.
I’m so glad you popped over to my space so that I could come visit you here in return! It’s lovely. (:
