Sorry for being MIA for a while…
I have been busy with …W**K!!

Did you know that my blog turned 3 years old yesterday!?
I wrote my first post on 7th Aug, 2009.
Feel a little bit embarrassed now when I look at it :o
Hmm…although I don’t get that many comments,
I really appreciate all of you who have been leaving comments!
Your comments really gave me strength to continue blogging!
But please forgive me if my replies are too slow :o
So last year I gave out some of my prints during the 2 years anniversary.
For this year…
I hope to have some interaction with you readers out there.
So I was thinking… anyone interested to do a package swap with me?
Like a little gift exchange!? Nothing expensive…
grab something which is available in your collection & house..
What do you think?
I think I’ll limit it to 3 persons for the mean time.
Leave a comment in this post if you’re interested.
Oh. When you leave me a comment,
I hope you could give me a short self introduction so
I can get to know you better :)
I’ll close the entry next Saturday, 18th August.
And I’ll pick 3 person randomly!

p/s: Thanks for all the movie recommendations in the last post! :)

happy blog b-day ;)
Hi Clàudia! Thank you for the blog b-day wishes! & Nice to meet you ;)
Happy birthday sleepwalkingintokyo!
I hope that your blog will have many more years of sleep walking in Tokyo and elsewhere in the world!
I’d do this exchange with pleasure as I like to send letters :)
For a mini self introduction, I’m a french girl of 22yo soon, I live in Paris where i studied Korean, Japanese (language and culture for both) and cross-cultural communication. I travelled twice in Korea and i’m planning to go another time but only in the South. I’ll soon visit Hungary, Spain another time, and I really want to go to the Philippines, Malaysia, Sweden and Jamaica. I can spend hours on Airbnb.
Oh, i have to continue working~~
Have a nice day ;)
Hi Laura, Thank you for telling me more about yourself :) Wow. you study both Korean & Japanese language and culture? Though both languages are quite similar grammatically, I still feel Korean is more difficult… What do you think?
I’m envy that you’re living in Europe. I haven’t been out of Asia before :o
Yes, but I quit Japanese last year and I’m easily forgetting it, which is very bad. I think Japanese is more difficult because of kanjis, but maybe because I was a bit uninterested?
Hope you’ll get the chance to travel here in Europe, there are many things to see! But the prices are high, I think it’s quite a pain to travel a lot here… Still going to Spain and Hungary hehe. (cheapest coutnries ;))
Hi there! Let’s do a swap since we both share a love for Korea and Tokyo and photography. I live next door to you in Singapore and thanks to your blog, I visited wonderful Ihwadong during my recent trip to Seoul. I try to visit Korea once every year and have managed to do so nearly every year since 2007. I have a blog too – at http://www.ten-ele-ven.com. Check it out when you have time!
Hi Maggie :) Thanks for participating in this swap! It’s nice to get to know someone with the same interest :) I love all the photos you post in your blog!! & I’m envy that you went to europe recently!
Your idea of a swap sounds amazing and I’d love to participate!
An introduction then: I’m Paula and I live in a tiny Spanish island. I study Musicology and right now my studies are keeping me from blogging or commenting or doing anything remotely fun (but I expect it’ll be better in a month and a half).
Hi Paula. Thanks for participating! It’s so cute of you to write a self introduction here..actually you don’t have to coz I’ve been following your blog for so long that I feel like I know a lot about you ;p
Great initiative! And I think I’ll have some great stuff for you.
Anyway, I am Raymond from Rotterdam, Holland. A few years back I visited China for 6 weeks with a Chinese friend. And ever since then, China, and Asia in general, always kept my curiosity. I am not much interested in the big news. I care more for the stories from people just like me; the small people in the big world.
Furthermore I work in the psychiatric care and try to make life fun and worthy. Besides Asian cultures I am interested in art, cooking, football, music and photography.
If I am not one of the first 3 persons I hope I will be in the second round. I wish everyone good luck.
Oh, and thanks to my Korean Wander guide this week I’ve learned my name in Korean is 레이몬드 ;)
Hi Raymond. Thanks for participating! And also thank you for introducing yourself. Wow! Holland! It’s a place I’ve always like to visit since young! Wow.. you traveled around China for 6 weeks? Where did you go? must been an exciting trip! btw. Do you keep a blog?
Thank you! Well, 6 weeks of China is nothing compared to your trips, haha.
Anyway, I was with a friend from Guangzhou, so I stayed with locals all the time. Visited some places around, like Jiangmen and Foshan. Then moved to Shengdu and Jiuzhaigou. Then Xi’an, Beijing and back to Guangzhou. But I never made a blog out of it. I kept a journal though, but unfortunately I lost it somewhere. I took pictures with a ’78 Praktica analog reflex camera and put some scans on my FB. If you want I can sent you a few (or if you’re on FB too you can add me on http://goo.gl/SSkge).
Cheers and keep up the good work. Much appreciated here! :)

Hello. I love swapping letters and packages. I’m 24. I’m an illustrator from Scotland who is living in London. I like to visit your blog every so often because when I read a bunch of posts at once it feels like I am really there. I miss travelling. I could send you some of the photos I take. And some drawings. I like nature and drinking tea, and old science fiction. my blog is here danielle-banks.blogspot.com
If think too many will reply.. maybe we should do swaps between ourselves too?
Hi Danielle, Nice to meet you! Thank you for introducing yourself and participating in this swap :) You have some lovely drawings in your blog! I like to draw to but not so good in it. When I feel down, I will draw.. it’s kinda of a therapy for me! lol I would love to do a swap with you too :) I’ll close the entry by this friday & We’ll see how it goes.
congrats on 3 years. sounds like a short time but to me it’s quite long. I always like seeing your travel pics and that you still shoot with film. me, I don’t think I would have the patience to for film but I always like the idea of tangible things.
I would like to do gift swap. though it might take longer to get my package to you if you’re still in tokyo. a little about me : I like flowers, things that are yellow, handmade things though I’m not really crafty, korean tv shows which I watch with english subtitles and I like to draw and take photos and write fiction.
that already sounds like too much, isn’t it?
anyway, have a great day!
Hi lissa :) I don’t live in Tokyo anymore but I think it’ll take a long time to send you a package too from where I am now :o Thank you for telling me more about yourself! :) You’re into Korean tv shows too? What do you watch?
I kind of forgotten about this & I was browsing through your blog and saw your reply. anyway, the korean tv shows I like to watch are mostly comedy. my recent favorite is 49 days, scent of a woman, protect the boss. I usually watch shows a year or so later so I’m not into the recent shows.
hope you are having a great day.
Oh. I think protect the boss was ok but I couldn’t watch 49 days or scent of a woman coz’ I don’t like sad or heavy dramas :o
Congrats. I have already exchanged some presents with my friend in Poland.

It’s nice to share our goods(not expensive.)
:) wow.. that’s great! I think it’s Obon holiday in Japan now right? What did you do during the holidays?
Yes, it’s obon but I don’t have many holidays because most places are really crowded. So, I’ll take a day off next week. :)
Happy b-lated birthday. :)
I hope you continue to keep blogging and celebrate more birthdays! haha
Thank you Eileen :) I’ll try my best ;o
