そば処 田中屋
Tanaka Soba restaurant in Izumo
Confession, I’m actually not a big fan of soba, I prefer ramen than soba.
But since Izumo (出雲) in Shimane prefecture (島根県) is famous for soba,
I had to give it a try right!?
hmm…erm…Sorry…it failed to make me like soba…
my soba was kinda soggy…end of story.
Though I didn’t like the food…
I like how these photos turned out ..lol

I’m a soba fan, especially fresh soba noodles.
Oh really!? Actually soba is a more healthy choice compared to ramen :)
Oh my, how many things I don’t know about! I googled soba and now I know (almost) everything about soba and buckwheat. That said, there is nothing left for me to do but try it!
Hello there :) I’m glad you found something new here. Try it out & let me know if you like it.
I only ate soba and udon when I was in Japan… well, the main reason is because I don’t eat pork/lard.
I finally eat ramen when a friend told me of this small sea-food based ramen in Shinjuku (or was it chicken-based?). Texture-wise, now I like ramen better than soba or udon.
Hi. Nice to meet you :) I’ve eaten sea-food based ramen too! fish based soup to be exact. It’s yummy too! ahh… I miss Japan’s ramen so much!
i’ve only eaten udon, but this post got me all excited about trying out soba! lovely photography!
hi té :) Thank you :) I like how the photos turned out too :) Let me know if you like soba after you tried it out!
