# china trip journal 1
I’m going to start blogging about my China trip.
I flew to Hong Kong and then transfered to another flight to China.
I had around 5-6 hours before my flight to China but Hong Kong airport is quite boring with no internet cafe. Of course there’s wifi but I don’t bring my laptop when I go for holidays. btw. I was told that travelers can use the computers at some of the cafes if you purchased a drink from them which I didn’t bother.
Anyway. Here’s some pictures taken with my LUMIX digital camera. I have not used it for a long time :o. I know these pictures look quite boring but I’m posting them just for the sake of documenting my trip :p

Cathay Pacific in-flight snacks
in-flight meal was quite good.
very nice weather :)
On duty.
Hong Kong airport was not as busy as I thought it would be.
That’s China’s flag in the center and Hong Kong’s flag on the right.
I wish I could go to the city for a while…but it’s such a hassle so I choose to just wait at the airport.
The restaurant where I had my early dinner.
Hmm… the food was not as great as I thought it would be :p

That’s all for now.
I’ll be posting China film pictures next.

you are lucky actually.. there are a lot of blue sky and clouds this year in hk. we didn’t get much of those in the past few years.
Really!? My friends always say I bring rain to places I go wor :p
I had to transit in HK for my trip too so my friends and I sat in Starbucks and played Monopoly Deal to pass time. We didn’t have any HK currency with us so we had to pay for our drinks with card … XD
You’re lucky to have friends with you! I was waiting alone :o Wrote some postcards then dozed off :o
i think changi airport is awesome for transit traveler with so many free internet at almost every corner. not to mention free public phone call to local sg number, free movie at mini theater, free foot massager, free games station. well, u r lucky that u were able to dozed off while waiting, this is a skill i must acquire ^_^
I agree Changi airport is much more interesting than Hong Kong airport. Incheon airport in Seoul is not bad too. can easily find free internet access!
Actually I only slept for maybe 3 hours the day before..Was so god damn tired.. that’s why can dozed off easily lo :o
as i’m in hong kong i guess i should leave my two cents worth.
i agree, once you leave customs there are hardly any internet cafes, just one tucked away in a corner on departures level.
if you had a little more time you could have watched a movie (there is an imax cinema) or gone into the city; it’s only a 30min train ride in on the airport express.
oh, and your choice of restaurant is a local favorite, but i agree, it’s not that amazing…
Oh really!? The airport staff told me there’s no internet cafes!!? :o
Wow. IMAX cinema! Thanks for all the information.
At least now I’ll know what to do if I have the chance to transit at HK again.
